Mathew Kochinadathu Thomas After graduating from high school, I had no idea where the world would take me. I was fortunate enough to have found LSMU’s Medicine program from a family friend and after a bit of research into what the university could offer me, I was ready to begin the next chapter of my life. And looking back over the last few years, I am glad I decided to leave my comfort zone and to start building towards my future. LSMU’s Medicine program was just what I was looking for with their Problem Based Learning style of education. I have tried to embrace everything this country and university has to offer and I have been rewarded in more ways than I could have imagined. I have made great progress with my medical knowledge, gained many life-long friendships from all over the world, and improved as a person overall. |
Ajanta Alexandra Basak My name is Ajanta Alexandra Basak and I am a veterinary medicine student from Canada. LSMU is located in the picturesque city of Kaunas. LSMU provides international students the opportunity to pursue their dreams. The small class sizes allow for more interaction between professors and students leading to enhanced learning of the material. The abundance of hands-on practice better prepares students to face challenges during their internships and future careers. Victoria Pascale Schegerer International studying is a great experience, it not only means to live in another country and be much more responsible for yourself, you also get to know a lot of other cultures and great people. In LSMU not everybody studies for himself, the international students are one team, especially your group will grow together and you support each other, so it is much more fun. The module system in general medicine provides all the knowledge related to corresponding system, which makes studying medicine much more practical and even more interesting. |

I’m currently studying master’s in applied public health and I’ve been involved in various student organizations and activities at LSMU. Peter Obieze Nkwocha My name is Peter, I am from Nigeria and I study at the Medical Faculty of LSMU. Generally, Medicine is a program that requires consistency, dedication, and hard work. Yes, it could be stressful at times, but the study structure at LSMU provides a hands-on experience/learning environment, meaning that students have the opportunities to meet with doctors, patients and discuss real clinical situations as early as the second year. LSMU is a very culturally diverse university, we have students from African countries, European countries, Asia, and America. On this note, representation is very important. Thulasigan Yogeaswaran Hello, beautiful people!!! I am Thulasigan Yogeaswaran, originally from Sri Lanka. I am very honored, and it is a great privilege for me to serve as an ambassador for LSMU, my university. The educational journey I embarked on at LSMU was the most internal process and this was guided and supported by “Problem Based Learning” approach that is very unique and fantastically the clinical experience availed at the grandeur largest hospital in the Baltic. LSMU stands out not only for its high academic standards but also for its strong community, fostering deep connections between teachers and students. The diverse campus, a blend of cultures from various regions, enriches relationships and expands perspectives. Kaunas, with its welcoming atmosphere and serene spots like Laisvės Alėja and Kauno Pilis offers peace and inspiration, making it a place where dreams flourish. Mohammed Alkhalaf LSMU has provided me with an invaluable opportunity to pursue my passion of Physiotherapy and you can have the same chance ! I am currently a second-year physiotherapist and so far, it has been quite the experience honestly. I am part of ESN, the Erasmus Student Network, as well as ICOSA, the International Committee of Student Associations and mentoring the 23-24 Physiotherapy students. There is plenty to do and learn here and all you have to do is simply put yourself out there and I can help you at every step of the way.
