If the event is held remotely, funding from the Open Fund of LSMU may be available to cover the registration fee. Steps to seek funding:

  • The first step is to submit the application to the Board of the Open Fund no later than two months before the date of the event.
  • The second step involves the procurement procedures. As a standard practice, the initiators submit the procurement plans followed by the applications, and the procurement procedures are carried out according to the chosen procurement method.
  • Once the procurement is approved, payment for the event is executed.
  • If the PhD student is an employee, a remote professional development activity shall be registered via the rdp. The registration payment shall be settled beforehand. When completing the application for the professional development, do not tick the “registration fee” box, as the funding procedures (i.e. the Open Fund Board meeting) are completed prior to this application. This funding is not available to the PhD students who are not LSMU employees.
